
Maria Franziska Fahey
Maria Franziska Fahey is the author of Metaphor and Shakespearean Drama: Unchaste Signification, which was shortlisted for the 2012 Shakespeare’s Globe Book Award. She has presented her work on Shakespeare and Spenser at conferences of the Modern Language Association, the Shakespeare Association of America, the International Society of the Study of Narrative, the New York Council for the Humanities, and the Institute for Psychoanalytic Training and Research. She also has lectured at Bennington College, the Bread Loaf School of English, and the Graduate Center of the City University of New York. Dr. Fahey is a member of the faculty at Friends Seminary in New York City.
Drawing from her more than thirty years of experience teaching middle and high school students, Dr. Fahey currently is writing a series of guides to reading Shakespeare’s plays. It is her conviction that with the proper guidance all readers can understand and interpret the plays.
